WHERE WE BEGAN: THE HAT
THAT COULD NOT BE FOUND
The first Lisa von Hallwyl hat was created out of necessity.
Whilst preparing for her own wedding, Lisa searched for a piece that felt worthy of the occasion - something refined, sculptural and unmistakably her.
She never found it.
So, she made it.
Drawing on her background in fashion, she designed and created the hat herself.
It was admired.
Then requested.
Then requested again.
One hat quietly became another… and before long, her millinery had begun to take shape.
Now, Lisa returns to Switzerland once each year to teach millinery, sharing traditional techniques with the next generation of makers.
